10 Clothing Struggles Only Latinas Understand

Latina women might have the body proportions everyone dreams of but in a weird twist of fate that doesn’t really make their life any easier. That hourglass figure isn’t easy to dress, especially when you just want to look casual. As we know, with great power comes great responsibility, and in this case, also a lot of inconveniences. No one knows the struggle of shopping for clothes better than Latinas and that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about today.

1.Jeans are a struggle. In fact, trying to get anything over your hips requires a ridiculous amount of shimmying, jumping and bouncing.

2. Heaving big hips might look cool, since it’s all about big booties these days, but when your waist is way smaller then your hips the only thing that fits you well are leggins.

3. Loose fitting clothes look way too baggy, but snug fitting ones look way too sexy.

7.You’ve probably heard your mother say “that’s way too tight, you can’t leave the house like that” a million times.

8.Button down shirts are just not made for you. If it fits in the boobs it’s baggy everywhere else. If it fits everywhere, it won’t button at the boobs.

9. Dresses are your best friend. It’s not that you don’t want to wear trousers or jeans, it’s that finding ones with the correct waist to hip ratio is almost impossible.

10. You constantly struggle with looking to dressed up, not because you want or seem superior, but because your mother taught you to always dress nice. So college can be a bit weird, when everyone is wearing sweatshirts and you’re looking all “fancy”.

4.Trying to look casual is a constant struggle. Even everyday T-shirts look “too hot” on you.

5.It’s easier to find a needle in a haystack, than to find a swimsuit that will fit you perfectly. So on occasion you consider just torching the mall.

6.Shopping for clothes takes all day. You have to plan ahead and make sure you put aside enough time. There’s no way you’re just going to stroll through a mall and get something cute in the first store.
